DEVIN HAYWORTH

Music Teacher | Conductor | French Hornist | Drum Major

A California native, Devin Hayworth began his musical career at the age of 11. Devin started on horn, and quickly fell in love with music. Shortly following that, he began into step into the role of drum major at his high school, Rim of the World, and also began to dabble in instrumental conducting.

Since then, he has participated in several regional and state-wide honor groups as a horn and mellophone player, competed in SCSBOA and independent drum major competitions, been the Principal Horn of the Pasadena City College Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble as well the Drum Major for the prestigious Tournament of Roses Honor Band. He was also selected as the student conductor for the PCC Wind Ensemble, as well as the Student Assistant and Student Conductor for the Valley Philharmonic Youth Symphony. Devin has taught at several schools throughout Southern California.


Devin currently holds two Associate of Arts degrees in Music from Pasadena City College, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at San Diego State University.
